Kenny Harlow's Training Programs include:
THREE-WEEK APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM
Kenny Harlows Three-Week Apprenticeship Program is a comprehensive, hands-on interactive training program. This program takes you "beyond the clinic experience" and into a condensed version of the Kenny Harlow Certification Program. The program will include training in all aspects of riding and horsemanship techniques. By completing this Three-Week Apprenticeship Program, the participants will achieve a title of; "Kenny Harlow Apprentice". The Three-Week Apprenticeship program is also one way to complete the pre-requisites for those wishing to enter the Certification Program. The program will take place at Cedar Run Ranch in Cumberland, Virginia. Students enrolled in this program will be educated and experience "hands on" training with this gentle method that has literally changed the way horses are trained. These techniques work with every age, breed of horse and are for any discipline. This program is offered four times during the year. Depending on the horses and the participants, the following will be included: conditioning/response training, the use of the round pen, starting a colt, training of a green horse, training in the Blue Ridge Mountains, handling real problems that occur among horses, ground control, lateral movement, lead changes, components of the stop, communication through the reins, and horse psychology.
